Employment Benefits & Compensation

Kendall County Health Department employs over 50 individuals. Salaries and benefits offered by KCHD are competitive with other private and public sector positions. Employment benefits vary according to full-time or part-time employment status and between employee groups. Benefits options include:

  • Approximately 14.5 paid holidays per year (holidays approved each year by the Kendall County Board)
  • Paid Vacation Time – accrued each month, available for use immediately, increases incrementally with years of service
  • Paid Sick Time – accrued each month, available for use immediately, unlimited carryover each year
  • Paid Personal Time – available for use immediately
  • Group Health Insurance – Blue Cross/Blue Shield, HMO, and PPO options available for employee and family members; HSA and FSA options

ASSISTANT FISCAL DIRECTOR

FULL-TIME EXEMPT

Responsibilities:

  • Provides high-level support to the Fiscal Director, assisting with fiscal operations, financial reporting, and budget oversight
  • Oversees full lifecycle grants management, including opportunity identification, application coordination, reporting, and compliance monitoring.

 Schedule:

  • 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, onsite Monday through Friday. Additional after-hours may occur, as directed.

 Benefits: 

  • Salary - $65,000 per year

  • Approximately 14.5 paid holidays per year (holidays approved each year by Kendall County Board)
  • Paid Vacation Time – accrued each month, available for use immediately, increases incrementally with years of service
  • Paid Sick Time – 6 hours accrued each month, available for use immediately, unlimited carryover each year
  • Paid Personal Time – 40 hours annually

  • Dental and Vision Insurance – available for employee and family members

 Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, statistics, public health or project management.
  • Relevant work experience required
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Valid Illinois Driver’s License
