Since 1966, the Kendall County Health Department has served as a cornerstone of health and human services for our community. Our unique organizational structure allows us to provide a seamless approach to care, ensuring every resident at every life stage has the support they need to thrive.
Our mission is to promote physical health, mental health, environmental health, protect the community’s health, prevent disease, and promote family economic self-sufficiency through both person-based services and population-based programs.
Comprehensive Services for All Ages
We offer a robust spectrum of supports designed to meet the diverse needs of Kendall County:

Clinical Services: Immunizations, nutritional education, nursing assessments, pregnancy/postpartum visits, infectious disease, and emergency preparedness.

Mental Health & Recovery: Substance abuse treatment, mental health counseling, parent education, eldercare wellness, caregiver support, and psychiatric services.

Family & Community Support: Energy assistance (LIHEAP), home weatherization, and homeless prevention.

Environmental Health: Food safety inspections, radon education, vector-borne disease, well water testing, and septic oversight.
