Volunteer Eligibility & Application Process
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Kendall County Health Department! Our volunteers play a vital role in supporting our mission and serving the Kendall County community. To ensure a positive and effective experience for everyone involved, applicants must meet the following requirements.
Volunteer Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for a volunteer position, applicants must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Reside within Kendall County
- Commit to a minimum of 300 volunteer hours per calendar year (Hours may include meetings, training sessions, and events.)
- Complete all required onboarding and ongoing training as designated throughout the year
- Successfully pass a background check
- Submit a completed volunteer application and current resume
Application & Selection Process
Once your application and resume have been received:
- Materials are reviewed by directors from the appropriate department
- Qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview
- Final selections are made based on program needs and applicant qualifications
