LIHEAP is designed to help low-income households pay for winter and summer energy services, inspire economic self sufficiency and promote energy conservation.

  • LIHEAP will provide a one-time benefit to eligible households
  • Energy Assistance may be available if your household is disconnected from an energy source
  • Provide emergency services to eligible house households.

You may be eligible to receive assistance under LIHEAP is your household's combined income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Visit Illinois' LIHEAP website for current income levels.

The Reconnect Assistance Program is a one-time service provided to people whose utilities have been disconnected because of non-payment.
